School of Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology (CS&IT) has long been one of the most vibrant departments at the Bahamas Institute of Business & Technology. It offers certificate and degree programs specifically designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge they need to master careers in computers and information technology. Many graduates of the department are leaders in the local industry while others have gone on to make their mark internationally.

Currently nine degrees are offered through the department: six associate degree programs and three bachelor’s programs. Students are also encouraged to take advantage of several stand alone certificate courses which can be completed in relatively short periods of time.

Through its programs and expert faculty, BIBT will continue to lead the way in providing access to computer training for the foreseeable future. The continued development of the college’s facilities in concert with ongoing developments in the field will ensure that graduates will reach even higher heights in their various computing and IT professional pursuits.
