School of Education

The Department of Education focuses on developing well trained individuals for careers in teaching. Over the years many alumni of the program have been successfully placed in both private and government establishments. Their performance has reflected positively on the quality of the programs offered at BIBT and therefore it is expected that as the Department of Education expands more Bahamians will take advantage of the opportunities afforded individuals to become full-time practitioners in the field of Education.

Offerings in the department include both certificate and degree programs. Certificate courses typically run anywhere from six to twelve weeks while associate and bachelor degree programs are two and four years in duration respectively.
